Israel's Baby Killing, Product of American 'Human Rights': Iranian Official

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Head of Iran's Quds and Intifadha Headquarters Ramazan Sharif censured the US for paying lip service to human rights while backing the child-killing Israeli regime.

Speaking in reaction to Friday's terrorist attack by Israeli settlers who burned to death an infant Palestinian boy in the West Bank, Sahrif said the criminal act is "a clear manifestation of the modern terrorism generated by the Zionist regime and supported by the White House."

He said American officials pose as advocates of human rights before the media but support the leaders of the "ruthless, occupying and child-killing Zionist regime".

He underlined that all those governments and international bodies that have remained silent the Zionist crimes should be held responsible for "this big crime".

Sharif added that the Zionists' latest atrocity proved that they believe in "the end justifies the mean" and avoid no crimes to reach their "evil objectives".

Eighteen-month-old Ali Saad Dawabsha was burnt to death on Friday when Israeli settlers threw incendiary objects at Palestinian houses in the West Bank village of Duma, south of Nablus.

The baby's parents and his four-year-old brother were also injured in the arson attack.

The assailants reportedly came from the nearby settlement of Ma'akeg Efraim.

The Israeli settlers' latest atrocity has drawn widespread condemnation worldwide, even from the Zionist regime's supporters.
