Triplets Born in Helicopter on Way to Hospital in Central Iranian City

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A 28-year-old Iranian woman gave birth to triplets aboard a medical emergency helicopter.

The woman was rushed to a medical clinic in Varzaneh, a small town near the central Iranian city of Isfahan, on Sunday morning after experiencing severe labour pain.

Given her critical conditions, a medical emergency helicopter was summoned to take her to a hospital in Isfahan.

They were in mid-air when the pain became so intense that the onboard paramedics decided that the lives of the mother and babies were at risk.

The triplets were, thus, delivered by the two paramedics aboard the copter flying over Isfahan.

According to Ghafour Rastin, director of Isfahan Medical Emergency Department, the triplets, two girls and a boy, and their mother are in good health.
