Barriers to Iran’s Economic Growth Removed: President

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani on Thursday said that the successful conclusion of nuclear talks would pave the way for further economic interaction with the world.

“The gate that had been shut by enemies of the Iranian nation to prevent us from being in touch with the world and exporting our products to the region and the world … is now open, and the barrier has been removed,” Rouhani said.

He made the remarks in an address to a large gathering of people in southwest of Tehran province.

“Today is the day of beginning and movement towards the domain that has been opened to us, and we should tap into our full potentials for production, development, and export of our goods,” the Iranian president added.

Rouhani also praised the efforts made by the country’s nuclear negotiating team and nuclear scientists that led to the successful conclusion of nuclear talks with world powers.

Thanks to our diplomats’ great tact, he said, the UNSC resolutions that wrongfully said Iran does not have the right to access nuclear technology are now nullified, and the country’s nuclear rights are acknowledged by Resolution 2231.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, US, Britain, France, and Germany) on July 14 successfully concluded their nuclear talks in Vienna, Austria, and finalized the text of a comprehensive nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The United Nations Security Council later adopted a resolution endorsing the agreement.

According to the UNSC Resolution 2231, all previous UNSC sanctions imposed on Iran over its nuclear program will be terminated when the JCPOA takes effect.
