Iran Suffers Second Defeat at Asian Women’s Junior Handball Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran lost to Japan in its second match of the 2015 Asian Women’s Junior Handball Championship on Friday.

Iran was defeated against Japan 31-21.

The Iranian team, who had lost to China 32-25 in its first match, will play Uzbekistan on Saturday.

The 13th edition of Asian Women's Junior Handball Championship opened in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on August 6, and will finish on August 14.

A total of seven teams, including host Kazakhstan, Iran, South Korea, China, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Japan are competing in round-robin format. The top five teams will advance to the IHF Women's Junior World Championship in Russia.
