In a recent meeting between the representative of HDC and Director General of Gilan Province’s Ports and Maritime Organization Ali Naeimi, the South Korean company voiced its willingness to invest in development projects in Anzali.
In the meeting, Naeimi briefed the HDC official on the process of development of the Caspian Sea ports in northern Iran, including Anzali, and the transit of goods through the port.
Anzali Free Zone includes range area of Anzali city with approximately 3200 hectares of land and waters to a depth of two kilometers from the coastal range.
The meeting comes against the backdrop of a new wave of renewed interest in ties with Iran after Tehran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 14 reached a conclusion over the text of a comprehensive 159-page deal on Tehran’s nuclear program.
The comprehensive nuclear deal between Iran and the six powers would terminate all nuclear-related sanctions imposed on Iran after coming into force.
Experts believe that Iran’s economic growth would rise remarkably after the final nuclear deal takes effect.
