Iran’s Nejad Katesari Wins Gold at World Cadet Taekwondo Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Mobina Nejad Katesari bagged a gold medal at the 2nd WTF World Cadet Taekwondo Championships, which concluded their four days of competitions in Muju, Korea on Wednesday.
In the female -37kg final match, Nejad Katesari brushed aside a stiff challenge from the United States’ Kiana Chai Chong to win the gold medal 5-4.
Thailand’s Supara Jarussangkulku and Germany’s Supharada Kisskalt had to settle for the bronze medal each.
In the male -57kg final match, Korea’s Chang-geun Kim came from behind to outpoint Iran’s Erfan Moradi 9-8 for the gold medal.
Turkey’s Taner Bas and Mexico’s Luis Osorio shared the bronze medal in the same weight category.
