In a congratulatory message to Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev, President Rouhani felicitated the country’s nation and government on their Independence Day.
He also hailed the good record of bilateral relations between Tehran and Bishkek, and expressed the hope that ties would promote more than ever.
Rouhani also wished health and success for Atambayev and honor for the Kyrgyz nation and government.
The Republic of Kyrgyzstan, is a landlocked country in Central Asia, bordering Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. It obtained independence from the Soviet Union on August 31, 1991.
