Mexico Ready to Cooperate with Iran on Energy Efficiency
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A Mexican minister voiced the North American country’s readiness to work in partnership with Iran on tactics to improve energy efficiency.
Mexican Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare Alfonso Navarrete Prida held a meeting with Iran’s Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh in Tehran on Tuesday.
The Mexican minister said his country has initiated programs to improve efficiency in energy consumption and in oil industry.
Mexico welcomes cooperation with other countries on energy efficiency, he told SHANA, saying Tehran and Mexico City can forge good cooperation in this field.
Navarrete Prida is in Tehran to hold talks with Iranian officials on developing bilateral cooperation in different political and economic areas.
He is the first Mexican cabinet minister to visit Iran in over a decade.
