Leader: US Enmity to Iran Unending
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – US hostility towards the Iranian nation will never end, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said, calling for Iran’s increasing “national might” to fight off US plots.
Addressing a huge gathering of Iranian people in Tehran on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei said an example of Washington’s unrelenting hostility towards the Iranian nation is that they began to think of plots in the Congress to put obstacles in the way of Iran after finalization of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), whose fate the Leader said is still unclear in Iran and the US.
The Leader also hailed late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini for branding the US “Great Satan”, saying that while Satan resorts to seduction and deception, America uses not only seduction and deception but killing, sanctions, and hypocrisy as well.
The only way for ending the US plots is reinforcement of Iran’s national might, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out, saying the country should get so powerful as to make “the Great Satan” give up hope about the efficiency of its hostility.
Imam Khamenei then explained that gaining national might requires three main qualities: “robust and resisting economy, advanced and growing science, as well as preserving and strengthening the revolutionary morale, specifically among the youth.”
The Supreme Leader further warned against the US policies to gain a foothold in Iran, describing the Americans’ attempts to hold talks with Iran as an excuse to infiltrate into the country and impose the White House’s demands on the Islamic Republic.
Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated that Iran agreed to negotiate with the US only on the nuclear issue, stressing that no talks will be held with Americans on any other subject.
“We, however, favor negotiations… with all countries, except the Greta Satan, at different levels of government, ethnicities and religions.”
Elsewhere in his address, the Leader slammed Israel as a fake regime, saying some Zionists have described the conclusion of talks on Iran’s nuclear program as something that has eased Tel Aviv’s concerns about the Islamic Republic for 25 years.
“But we tell them (the Zionists) that you will basically not witness 25 years later, and by God’s grace, nothing called the Zionist regime will exist in the region,” added the Leader.
Ayatollah Khamenei went on to underline that, in the meantime, the combative, epic, and Jihadi Islamic spirit will not leave the Zionists in peace.
