Iran Defeats Hong Kong at AFC Women’s Futsal Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran beat Hong Kong 6-0 in Group A at the AFC Women’s Futsal Championship on Monday.
In the match held at the Nilai Indoor Stadium in Nilia, Malaysia, Sara Sherbeigi emerged as the leading scorer at the end of Match Day 1 with four goals.
Fahimeh Zarei and Fereshteh Karimi also scored one goal each for the Iranian team.
Iran will play Uzbekistan and host Malaysia on Tuesday and Wednesday respectievly.
Group B consists of Vietnam, Japan, China and Thailand.
Two best teams from each group will get through.
