“Iran has made great progress in science and modern technologies, and can cooperate with the friendly and brotherly country, Senegal, in these fields,” President Rouhani said in a meeting with his Senegalese counterpart Macky Sall on Sunday.

The two presidents met on the sidelines of the 70th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

President Rouhani also called for the development of ties between Tehran and Dakar in different fields given the two countries’ huge capacities.

For his part, Sall said Senegal is eager to revive relations with the Islamic Republic.

The two senior officials also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and Africa.
