Norouzi died at the age of 30 after suffering a heart attack in his sleep in Tehran, capital of Iran, on Thursday.

"It is with great sadness that I learned of the sad news of the sudden death of Hadi Norouzi, who left us very soon," Blatter said in a message sent to the Iranian club.

"On behalf of FIFA and in my own name, I offer Persepolis football club and Iran football society my sincerest condolences."
