Persepolis Beats Siahjamegan in Iran Professional League
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis of Tehran football team defeated Siahjamegan 2-1 in Week 9 of Iran Professional League (IPL) on Tuesday.
Persepolis defender Ramin Rezaeian gave the visiting team a lead in the 40th minute with a header and Farshad Ahmadzadeh made it 2-0 in the 72nd minute.
With eight minutes left, Naghi Alizadeh reduced the deficit.
Honduran striker Jerry Bengtson could have scored in the 85th minute but hit the bar with a header.
In Tabriz, Tractor Sazi defeated Saipa 2-0 thanks to goals from Tunisian striker Hamza Younés (26th) and Bakhtiar Rahmani (53rd).
Malavan and Sepahan played out a goalless draw in Bandar Anzali.
