The former German basketball coach took over BC Krasny Oktyabr, the Russian club announced via Twitter.
Bauermann was coach of Krasny Oktyabr in the second half of last season.
After the season, however, he left the team and took charge of Iran national team.
Iran finished in third place in the FIBA Asia Championships under guidance of the 57-year-old coach but failed to secure an automatic berth to the 2016 Olympics.
