Speaking in a meeting with a Yemeni delegation headed by Chairman of High Council of Yemen’s Revolution Naif al-Qanis, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi hailed the braveries of the Yemeni nation against the Saudi aggression.
“The Yemeni people have awakened the world to the blood-stained developments in the country through resisting against the savage attacks of the Al Saud,” he said during the meeting in Tehran on Sunday.
The Iranian parliamentarian further censured the international community for its silence over the Saudi crimes against the “oppressed” people of Yemen, saying that each day, the number of men, women and children killed in this war grows, while the self-proclaimed advocates of human rights and the international circles continue their silence on the issue.
Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by a coalition led by the Saudi regime for months.
On March 26, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies, including the UAE, began to launch deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
More than 4000 people, many of them children and women, have been killed in the Saudi-led aggression against the Arab country so far.
