Persepolis will play Iran Professional League leader Esteghlal on Friday in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
“Tehran derby is the biggest football event in Iran as well as Asia. I am happy to be part of the beautiful exhibition. I’ve seen Esteghlal's last 10 matches in the league and I think we know what makes a team perform well,” Branko said in the pre-match news conference.
“I believe that Esteghlal cannot surprise us in this match. In my opinion, the players will make the final decision and they will play the key roles in this match,” the Croat added.
“I’ve experienced so many derbies in countries like Croatia, the UAE and China but I have to say it remains a derby like no other,” Branko concluded.
