Yemenis to Hold Rallies against Israel’s Meddling

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemen’s Supreme Revolutionary Committee called on Yemenis to hold massive protests against the Zionist regime of Israel’s meddling in the Arab country’s domestic affairs.

According to Saba news agency, the Committee in a statement released on Sunday said protest rallies will be held this week against Israel’s interference and its direct participation in the aggression against Yemen.

The Zionist regime’s greed in Yemen, especially in Bab el-Mandeb Strait is secret to no one, al-Alam TV cited the statement as saying.

The Committee also condemned the massacre of Yemenis by the Saudi-led coalition, and described it as being in line with Israel’s plans and interests.

People’s participation in this protests will indicate to the entire world the decisive opposition of Yemenis to the Saudi-Zionist aggression and Tel Aviv’s colonialist policies in Yemen, the statement said.

The time and location of upcoming demonstrations will be announced soon, it added.

On March 26, a coalition spearheaded by Saudi Arabia began deadly airstrikes against the Houthi movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

According to Yemeni health ministry, the death toll from the Saudi-led onslaughts against the Arabian Peninsula nation so far is more than 6,000, adding that 1,277 of those killed were children.
