Israeli Troops Kill Another Palestinian in West Bank

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli troops shot dead another young Palestinian in the occupied West Bank in yet another act of violence against Palestinian people.

The Palestinian man, identified as Malik Talal al-Shareef, was killed by Israeli forces in the Gush Etzion settlement bloc southwest of Bethlehem after allegedly attempting to stab an Israeli soldier, Ma’an news agency reported on Friday.

"Moments ago, IDF forces thwarted an attack at a crowded bus station in Gush Etzion," an Israeli army spokesperson said.

No Israelis were injured in the incident.

The report added that at least seventy three Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since the beginning of October.

The latest wave of tensions was triggered by the Israeli regime’s imposition in August of restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque.

Palestinians are also angry at increasing violence by illegal Israeli settlers, who frequently storm al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in Islam after Masjid al-Haram in Mecca and Masjid al-Nabawi in Medina. They say the Tel Aviv regime seeks to change the status quo of the compound.
