Iran’s Larijani Condemns Terror Attacks in Paris

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani slammed the recent terrorist attacks in the French capital of Paris that killed at least 129 people, calling for global resolve to fight against “the inauspicious phenomenon” of terrorism.

In a message to his French counterpart on Saturday, Larijani expressed deep condolences to the people and government of the Western European country over the deaths and injuries of innocent people in the Friday terrorist attacks in Paris.

“Unfortunately, for years, the world has been witnessing such inhumane incidents and crimes” which have led to the massacre of defenseless people and caused chaos and insecurity, the Iranian parliamentarian noted in the message.

He further underscored the necessity for adopting a global stance against the inauspicious phenomenon of terrorism.

Late on Friday, a string of coordinated attacks in and around the French capital left at least 129 people dead and some 200 others injured.

A state of emergency has been declared in the European country shaken by the horrific attacks.
