Team Melli has been scheduled to meet Guam in Group D of the 2018 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
“We had some off the pitch problems to travel to Guam. At the same time, we should play on artificial turf but I don't use that as excuse,” Queiroz said in the pre-match news conference.
“There is no excuse for losing concentration. My players are well-aware of their obligations. To play on artificial turf will be difficult but the other teams in the group had the same situation,” he said.
“This match can also be an opportunity for Guam football. We want a better future for their football and play a role in their improvement."
