Bomb Threat Grounds US Plane in Florida
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A plane belonging to US Spirit Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Fort Lauderdale International airport, Florida, after officials said a bomb threat was made.
Fort Lauderdale officials said a person on board the flight made the threat, according to local CBS 12.
A bomb squad is investigating, but deputies reported the plane is in a secure area with no apparent threat detected, the officials added.
Spirit Airlines is an ultra-low cost carrier that serves passengers in the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
