Over 20 Yemenis Killed in Latest Saudi Airstrikes

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – More than 20 Yemeni fishermen were killed in the latest round of Saudi air raids on the impoverished county’s al-Hudaydah province.

World

According to a report by Yemen’s al-Masirah TV on Thursday, the fishermen lost their lives after Saudi jets bombarded their boats off the Coast of Zaqar Island and near Hanish Island in al-Hudaydah province.

The report also said that the airstrikes left several others wounded after the kingdom’s warplanes targeted two Yemeni islands on the Red Sea.

Saudi airstrikes were also reported in the northern Sa’ada province, a main bastion of Houthi Ansarullah movement and a major target of Saudi attacks over the past months.

Meanwhile, Saudi aircraft destroyed an arts and industrial center in Juhana, which is located just outside Yemen's capital, Sana'a.

Sources said the warplanes also carried out at least nine airstrikes across the oil-rich province of Ma’rib in west-central Yemen.

Yemen's defenseless people have been under massive attacks by a coalition led by the Saudi regime for months.

On March 26, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies, including the UAE, began to launch deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

More than 5400 people, many of them children and women, have been killed in the Saudi-led aggression against the Arab country so far.
