Iran Professional League: Persepolis Beats Esteghlal Ahvaz
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis grabbed its fifth win in the Iranian Professional League (IPL) on Saturday.
The Iranian popular team defeated Esteghlal Ahvaz 1-0 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Mahdi Taremi found the back of the net in the 20th minute.
The Persepolis football team could have scored many more goals in the second half but the strikers missed their chances.
At the end of the 12th week of the IPL, Persepolis jumped to the seventh place with 18 points.
Esteghlal tops the table with 25 points.
