Minneapolis Police spokesman John Elder says about 150 people were gathered Sunday night outside the department’s 4th Precinct, near where 24-year-old Jamar Clark was shot, the Associated Press reported.
Elder says there were no arrests Sunday and no reports of property damage. He says those gathered kept fires going for warmth amid freezing temperatures.
Protesters are calling for the release of videos of the incident.
Authorities say that there is footage from multiple sources but that it doesn’t show the full incident and making the recordings public would compromise their investigations.
Police have said officers were responding to an assault call and found Clark interfering with paramedics. Authorities say there was a struggle and he was shot. People in the community say they saw him handcuffed at the time of the shooting — a claim police have disputed.
