Saudi-Led Forces Lose another Vessel in War on Yemen

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemen’s Army, supported by the voluntary forces, destroyed the 7th military vessel belonging to a Saudi-led coalition in the waters southwest of Yemen, according to reports.

Al-Alam news channel reported on Friday that the intruding frigate was targeted by a guided missile.

The Yemeni Army artillery units hit and sank the frigate as it was sailing off the coast of Mocha in the Red Sea, it added.

The counterattack by the Yemeni forces marked the 7th case of sinking of a military vessel belonging to the Saudi-led coalition since it started indiscriminate attacks against Yemen in March.

Last week, the Yemeni troops could also destroy an Emirati warship by Katyusha rockets.

Since March 26, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies, including the United Arab Emirates, have been launching deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

According to Yemeni sources, some 7500 people have been killed in the Saudi-led aggressions so far.
