Iranian Health Minister Hopes for “Good Deals” with Lebanon

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Health Minister Seyed Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi, who is on an official visit to Lebanon, expressed optimism that in his talks with senior officials of the Arab country, the two Asian states would reach “good deals” in various areas, health in particular.

“I hope that we will reach good agreements in line with (efforts to) promote trade relations in diverse sectors, health in particular,” Qazizadeh Hashemi told reporters upon his arrival in the Lebanese capital of Beirut on Wednesday.

He is accompanied in the visit by a number of Iranian investors and managers of companies working in the field of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.

The Iranian health minister has made the trip at the invitation of his Lebanese counterpart, Wael Abou Faour.

Qazizadeh Hashemi also plans to pay a visit to Syria on the second leg of his tour of regional countries and meet with the war-hit country’s health officials.
