ACL: Iran’s Tractor Sazi Edges Al Jazira of UAE
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tractor Sazi of Iran edged past Al Jazira from the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday in Group C of the AFC Champions League.
Bakhtiar Rahmani scored his third goal in two AFC Champions League games as Tractor Sazi Tabriz notched up back-to-back win over the Emirati team.
Rahmani netted twice in the meeting between the teams on Matchday 1 in Tabriz, when the Iranians ran out 4-0 winners, and the 24-year-old was on the score sheet again for Amir Ghalenoei’s side in the 31st minute.
Elsewhere, Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal rallied from a one-goal deficit to defeat Pakhtakor of Uzbekistan 4-1.
Tractor Sazi sits at top of group with six points, followed by Al Hilal and Pakhtakor with four and one point respectively.
Al Jazira is fourth without a single point.
