The two officials met on Thursday, on the sidelines of the 14th ACD Ministerial Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand.
They discussed the ACD plans during Iran’s presidency, from September 2017 to September 2018, as well as the first meeting of tourism ministers of the ACD member states, due to be held in the Iranian city of Tabriz in September.
Limschoon also hailed Iran for setting up an academic network comprised of 24 universities from the ACD member states, calling for efforts to encourage more Iranian universities to join the network.
Founded in 2002 in Cha-Am, Thailand, the Asia Cooperation Dialogue is a continent-wide forum and the first of its kind in Asia. It has now 33 members.
