Iran Comes Sixth at Asian Judo Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran came sixth in the Asian Judo Championships 2016 on Saturday.
The Iranian team won a silver and a bronze medal in the event held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Alireza Khojasteh claimed a silver medal in the -66kg after being defeated by Altansukh Dovdon from Mongolia.
Saeid Mollaei also took the bronze medal in the -81kg weight class.
Gold medal went to Mongolian Dagvasuren Nyamsuren who defeated Nacif Elias from Lebanon in the final.
Mongolia won the title with three gold and two bronze medals.
Japan finished in second place winning two gold medals, one silver and one bronze.
Kazakhstan came third with one gold, one silver and four bronze medals.
