Muslim Might to Save Palestine from Oblivion: Ayatollah Khamenei
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei warned against attempts by the arrogant powers to undermine the Islamic world and sap the strength of Muslims to easily consign the issue of Palestine to oblivion.
The hegemonic powers seek to deal a blow to Islam and the Muslim society, Ayatollah Khamenei said in an address to a gathering of Quran reciters and memorizers participating in the 33rd International Holy Quran Competition in Tehran.
“They (hostile powers) are aware that if Muslims have strength and their voice is loud and clear, they will not be able to oppress (Muslim) nations and the issue of Palestine, the usurpation of an Islamic country, will not fade into oblivion,” Imam Khamenei stated.
The Leader also denounced certain countries in the region for executing US policies, describing it as treason against the Islamic Ummah (society) and help for US infiltration.
Ayatollah Khamenei then highlighted the Islamic Republic’s might, describing it as a result of the Iranian nation’s faith, strength and standing against the US excessive demands.
“The reason behind the (hostile) powers’ fear of the Iranian nation and their various plots against the nation is the might on the basis of Islam,” the Leader said, stressing that enemies are afraid of “mighty and courageous Islam.”
Iran’s stances and its genuine performance are the main causes of its influence over Muslims and of Islam’s might, Imam Khamenei underscored.
The Leader further highlighted the necessity for Muslim unity in the face of the adversaries’ attempts to incite rifts and clashes among Muslims.
