1 Dead, Another Wounded in Florida Shooting Spree
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A Floridaman is accused of killing a woman, shooting another man and then firing at deputies before being captured following a seven-hour standoff.
Investigators said on Saturday the suspect, identified as Manuel Feliciano, was involved in two shootings.
The first was reported in the Azalea Park neighborhood in Orange County in California.
According to Orange County authorities, Feliciano shot and killed a 45-year-old woman in front her home near Semoran Boulevard and Goldenrod Road. A 7-year-old related to the victim called 911.
Feliciano then ran away to the area of Forest City Road and Edgewater Drive. Deputies said Feliciano shot and critically injured a man there, NBC-affiliated television station WESH reported late on Saturday.
The gunman then ran to a nearby home on Annandale, where he got into a shootout with deputies, authorities said. Deputies were not hurt in that shootout.
Feliciano was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
