Iran Wheelchair Basketball Loses to USA at Rio Paralympics
RIO (Tasnim) – Iran wheelchair basketball team was defeated against USA in the 2016 Paralympic Games on Saturday.
In the match held at the Carioca Arena 1, the Iranian team lost to USA 93-44.
Iran defeated Germany 69-63 in its opening match and lost to Great Britain 60-84 in Pool B.
The Persians have been scheduled to face Brazil on Sunday.
Iran has participated at the 2016 Summer Paralympics with 111 athletes in 12 sports.
The Iranian delegation finished in 11th place in the previous edition, winning 10 gold medals, seven silvers and seven bronze medals.
