The Army will not let the enemies pose any threat to the Islamic Republic of Iran and its borders, the Army said in a Monday statement, issued on the occasion of the Sacred Defense Week, which marks the onset of the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-1988).
Having gained experience from eight years of war and “encounter with the trans-regional threats”, the Army, along with the other Iranian Armed Forces, fully monitors any hostile moves, it added.
The statement also said that Iran’s deterrent power and defensive capabilities have put the country on top of the region.
Sacred Defense Week will begins on September 21, which is the day Iraq invaded Iran and began the imposed war on the country in 1980.
Each year, Iranian Armed Forces attend nationwide military parades to mark the week, during which the country’s latest defensive achievements are put on display.
