Iran, Turkey Discuss Syria during Zarif’s Visit to Ankara

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif paid an official visit to Turkey on Wednesday during which he discussed latest regional developments with Turkish officials.

On his way back to Tehran from New York, where he attended the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Zarif had a stop in Ankara in a bid to hold talks with high-ranking Turkish officials.

The top Iranian held closed-door talks with his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu during the visit.

Developments in the region, the ongoing conflict in Syria in particular, were among the topics on the agenda of the two foreign ministers' discussions.
