US After Insecurity in Iran’s East: Adviser
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A top military aide to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei warned of attempts by the US and NATO to incite insecurity in Iran’s eastern and southeastern regions.
The US and the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) are after extending their military bases around Iran to cause insecurity in the eastern and southeastern parts of the country, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said at a conference in the southeastern city of Zahedan on Wednesday.
He also called for constant monitoring of the geopolitical changes in the world to recognize the strategies of the enemies.
Iran is considered by many experts as the “island of stability” in a region which faces many security challenges.
In August, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted the strong security in Iran despite crises and insecurity in the region.
“Thank God through the appreciated efforts and endeavors of the military and security forces, the country enjoys a strong security shield while regional countries are filled with incidents and insecurity,” the Leader said.
