Iran Plans to Play Friendly with Ivory Coast


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian national football team is going to play a friendly with Ivory Coast.

The match will be held in Dubai, the UAE in late December in case of confirmation.

Iran had planned to meet Morocco in its UAE’s camp but the team's head coach Herve Renard has changed his mind.

The Atlas Lions will face Tunisia on December 25 in the United Arab Emirates as part of preparation for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations which will take place in Gabon from January 14 to February 5.

Iran, who prepares for Qatar match in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification on March 23, is going to arrange a friendly match with the Elephants in its UAE’s training camp.

Iran tops Group A with 11 points, followed by South Korea and Uzbekistan.
