Iran, Indonesia Ink 4 Deals

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Top officials from Iran and Indonesia signed four memorandums of understanding (MoUs)and cooperation agreements in a Wednesday meeting in Tehran, while private sectors of the two countries signed eight other deals separately.

In a meeting in Tehran attended by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his visiting Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo, the two countries signed a mutual legal assistance treaty, an extradition treaty, and two MoUs, one on cooperation in the electricity industry and renewable energies, and the other on efforts to encourage investment.

Representatives from private sectors of the two nations also signed eight separate agreements.

The Indonesian president arrived in Tehran on Wednesday morning for an official visit.
