Iranian Referee Faghani Takes Charge of Indian Super League Final

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian well-known referee Alireza Faghani officiated Indian Super League (ISL) 2016 Final match.

In the match which was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium on Sunday, Atletico de Kolkata claimed its second Indian Super League (ISL) football title in three years bettering Kerala Blasters 4-3 (1-1) on penalty shootout.

Faghani, who recently made history by becoming the first Asian to officiate the final of the men’s football at the 2016 Rio Olympics, officiated the match.

The international referee was assisted by his countrymen Reza Sokhandan and Mohammadreza Mansouri.
