Shahrdari Urmia Coach Ljubomir Travica Files FIVB Complaint

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Serbian coach of Shahrdari Urmia volleyball club Ljubomir Travica has submitted a complaint to the International Federation of Volleyball (FIVB) after Iranian club didn’t pay his salaries.

Shahrdari Urmia gave the 63-year-old coach bank checks but he found that the checks are uncovered by money.

“I would like to come back and do my job in the best way for try to win the championship but after so many broken promises we just want to inform you that we can't come back to Iran with this situation” Travica wrote in a letter.

“Iran volleyball has big reputation in whole world and this was one of reasons why we accept job in Iran,” the Italian added.

Ljubomir Travica was appointed as Shahrdari Urmia coach in April 2016.

In 1980 he participated with Yugoslavia at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow.
