Hamas Strategic Tunnels Needed to Defend Gaza against Israel

GAZA CITY (Tasnim) – Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian resistance movement (Hamas), are continuing to build underground tunnels in the Gaza Strip in an attempt to maintain and boost their defensive capabilities in the face of the Zionist regime of Israel.

According to Tasnim dispatches, Ezzedin al-Qassam Brigades are digging more tunnels across the Gaza Strip to improve their military and defensive capabilities for any potential Israeli war on the Palestinian coastal enclave.

Below, watch Tasnim’s report for more details:

The Gaza Strip has been under an Israeli siege since June 2007. The blockade has caused a decline in the standards of living as well as unprecedented levels of unemployment and poverty.

Israel has also launched several wars on the Palestinian sliver, the last of which began in early July 2014. The 50-day military aggression, which ended on August 26, 2014, killed thousands of Palestinians and injured many more.
