Iran Women’s Volleyball Coach Optimistic over AVC Qualification Tournament

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Majda Cicic, the head coach of the Iran women's volleyball team, is optimistic over a good performance at the 2018 FIVB Women’s World Volleyball Championship Qualification Tournament for the AVC Central Zone.

The competition will take place in the Maldives from January 27 to 29.

“We will participate in the event to win the championship. The all participants are well-prepared but we also are ready to qualify for the 2018 FIVB Women’s World Volleyball Championship,” Cicic told the reporters.

“Our players trained for three months and we are ready to take part at the event. I don't care who we play in the tournament. We prefer to stay in a good concentration about our team,” she added.

Iran, India, the Maldives and Nepal have already confirmed their participation in the three-day tournament.

Only the top team in this competition will qualify for the next round due to take place later next year.
