Iran’s Greco-Roman Wrestler Heidari Wins Bronze at Paris International

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Aliakbar Heidari claimed a bronze medal at Paris International Tournament (formerly the Grand Prix of Paris) on Saturday.

The 98kg wrestler seized a bronze medal after his French rival Mélonin Noumonvi pulled out in the third-place match due to injury.

Gold medal went to Felix Baldauf from Norway and Pontus Lund from Sweden snatched the silver medal.

Daniel Miller from USA also won the bronze medal.

The tournament got underway at the Olympic Center in Paris, France and will include men’s freestyle, Greco-Roman, and women’s freestyle.

Iran Greco-Roman team has five wrestlers in the competition.
