DAMASCUS (Tasnim) – Syria’s army and their allies entered the village of Ain al-Fija near Damascus on Saturday after forcing large groups of Takfiri militants to flee the area.

According to Tasnim dispatches, the Syrian forces entered the area in the Wadi Barada valley as part of an agreement between the government and the militants.

Based on the terms of the agreement, armed locals in the area will surrender and hand over their weapons while the terrorists will be transferred to the northwestern province of Idlib.

The terrorists had damaged water infrastructure and left some 5.5 million people in the capital and its suburbs facing water shortages, according to the UN.
