Karate1 Premier League: Iran’s Ganjzadeh Seizes Gold
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sajad Ganjzadeh from Iran won a gold medal at the Karate1 Premier League, Paris 2017, on Sunday.
Ganjzadeh defeated the Netherlands’ Tyron-Darnell Lardy 7-1 in the final match of the Male Kumite +84kg.
Ganjzadeh defeated Italian Giacomo Cozzolino, Turkey’s Emre Ipek and Enes Erkan, Russian Vasilii Antokhii and Iran’s Saman Heydari.
Earlier in the day, Iran’s Taravat Khaksar claimed a gold medal in the women’s under 55kg kumite competition.
Zabihollah Poorshab and Saman Heydari also won two bronze medals in the -84kg and +84kg.
More than 1000 entrants from 77 nations have competed in the competition in Paris, France.
