Yemenis Stage Massive Rally to Condemn Saudi Crimes

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemenis from all walks of life poured into the streets in the capital, Sana’a, to voice their outrage over the war crimes committed by the Saudi-led coalition in the Arabian Peninsula country.

They held the massive demonstration under the motto of “loyalty to the blood of martyrs” on Friday, according to the Arabic language al-Mayadeen television channel.

During the rally, the protesters called on the Yemeni government to carry out plans to strengthen the country’s resistance against the aggressors.

They also urged international organizations and human rights groups to help end the blockade on the Arab country.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition led by the Saudi regime for nearly two years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been launching deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Nearly 11,000 Yemenis, mostly civilians, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
