Noisy Anti-Trump Protests Staged in US Capital (+Photos)
WASHINGTON, DC (Tasnim) – Banging pots and pans, hundreds of US activists and citizens held protest rallies in the capital to voice their outrage over policies adopted by President Donald Trump, while he was delivering his first address to Congress.
According to Tasnim dispatches, the protesters braved the bad weather to hold rallies in three parts of Washington on Tuesday night.
Some of the demonstrators marched to the streets near the US congress and then joined another anti-Trump gathering in front of the Capitol Hill.
They chanted slogans and held placards reading “Investigate Trump”, “Hate will be your Legacy,” and “Read the constitution” among others.
Anti-Trump protests have spread across the US in recent months because of his controversial comments that critics view as racist, xenophobic and sexist.
