Iran Beaten by China in Asian Girls’ U18 Volleyball Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was defeated against host China in straight sets (25-14, 25-6, 25-12) in its 11th Asian Girls’ U18 Volleyball Championship opening match on Sunday.
Iran will meet Hong Kong in Pool A in Chongqing No. 8 Secondary School Yubei Campus on Sunday.
The tournament has brought a total of 11 teams including reigning champion Japan, China, Iran, Thailand, Korea, Chinese Taipei, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Uzbekistan, Australia and Samoa together.
The teams will vie in the next nine days for the four tickets to the 2017 FIVB Girls’ U18 World Championship, which is due to take place in Argentina from August 18 to 27.
