Saudi Aggression Has Killed Over 10,000 Yemeni People: Rights Group

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – More than 10,000 people have been killed and many more injured ever since Saudi Arabia started a war on Yemen in March 2015, a rights organization said.

The Yemeni Human Rights Organization announced in a report on Monday that the ongoing Saudi attacks have claimed the lives of 10,811 people, including 1,002 children and 649 women, and left 37,888 others injured.

A total of 9,160 men also lost their lives since the Saudi regime started the deadly war against the impoverished Arab country two years ago, according to the report.

Of those injured 3,875 were women, 2,224 were children and 19,868 were men.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been launching airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
