Ruhollah Aali, commander of an IRGC battalion at Kurin, a district of the provincial capital of Zahedan, was shot by two Takfiri terrorists while he was on duty in a road between Zahedan and Kurin.

Security forces launched a manhunt immediately after the attack and shot down the both Takfiri assassins.

The martyr was commander of battalion of Kurin, under the command of Brigade 110 of Salman Corps of Sistan and Balouchestan Province.

Since a couple of years ago, the IRGC has been tasked with ensuring security of southeastern border areas in cooperation with the local residents.

Located in southeast of Iran, Sistan and Balouchestan borders Pakistan and Afghanistan, and has a long coastline by the Sea of Oman.

The IRGC Ground Force has set up hundreds of construction and job-creating projects in the large province so far.
