Islamic Solidarity Games: Iran’s Emamgholinejad, Ahmadi Claim Gold, Silver

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Two Iranian shooters Narjes Andevari Emamgholinejad and Elaheh Ahmadi took the gold and silver medals respectively in the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games on Saturday.

Emamgholinejad claimed the gold medal, finishing with 249.6 points, 3.5 points more than her countrywoman Elaheh Ahmadi.

Bronze medal went to Sakina Mamedova of Uzbekistan who finished with 223.9 points.

More than 3,000 athletes from 54 countries of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation are competing in 21 sports at the Games which run through May 22.

The 4th Islamic Solidarity Games are being held from May 12 to 22 in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan under the motto “Solidarity is our strength.”
